Answer: Almighty God, in the last days, expresses the entirety of the truth that can thoroughly purify and save mankind, these truths are expressed according to our corrupt substance and what we lack, which means they are the reality of truth that we humans should have. God wants us to receive these truths as our everlasting life. This truth is the way of everlasting life bestowed to us by God. So, how are we to seek and gain the way of eternal life?
Almighty God has already laid out a practical path for us. Let’s read a few more passages from Almighty God:
“The work of the last days is to separate all according to their kind, to conclude the management plan of God, for the time is near and the day of God has come. God brings all who have entered His kingdom, that is, all those who have been loyal to Him to the end, into the age of God Himself. However, until the coming of the age of God Himself, the work that God shall do is not to observe the deeds of man or to inquire into the life of man, but to judge his rebellion, for God shall purify all those who come before His throne. All those who have followed the footsteps of God to this day are those who have come before the throne of God, and this being so, every single person who accepts God’s work in its final phase is the object of God’s purification. In other words, everyone who accepts God’s work in its final phase is the object of God’s judgment” (“Christ Does the Work of Judgment With the Truth” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).
“Today’s conquering work is to get back all the testimony and all the glory, and to have all men worship God, so that there is testimony among the created. This is what needs to be done in this stage of work. How exactly is mankind to be conquered? It will be done by using this work of words to fully convince man; by using disclosure, judgment, chastisement, and merciless curse to thoroughly subdue him; and by disclosing man’s rebelliousness and judging his resistance so he can know mankind’s unrighteousness and filth, which will be used to highlight God’s righteous disposition. Mainly, it will be the use of these words that conquers man and fully convinces him. Words are the means to the ultimate conquering of mankind, and all who accept conquering must accept the smiting and judgment of the words. The current process of speaking is the process of conquering. How exactly should people cooperate with this work? By eating and drinking these words effectively and understanding them. People cannot become conquered by themselves. They must, from eating and drinking these words, come to know their corruption and filth, their rebelliousness and unrighteousness, and fall down before God. If you can understand God’s will and then put it into practice and, further, have the vision, and if you can completely obey these words and not exercise any of your own choices, then you will have been conquered. “In this age, God primarily uses the word to govern all. Through the word of God, man is judged and perfected, then finally taken into the kingdom. Only the word of God can supply the life of man, and only the word of God can give man light and the way of practice, particularly in the Age of Kingdom. As long as you daily eat and drink of His word and do not leave the reality of the word of God, God shall be able to make you perfect” (The Age of Kingdom Is the Age of Word in The Word Appears in the Flesh).
“Now it is crucial that you focus on your life: eat and drink more of My word, experience more of My word, know more of My word, and let My word truly become your life—this is fundamental. Can a person who is unable to live by God’s word grow in life? No! You must live by My word in each and every moment, take My word as the standard of your action in your life, so you will understand which actions God finds joyful and which actions God finds hateful. In this way, you will gradually step onto the right track” (from Utterances and Testimonies of Christ in the Beginning).
“If one is able to satisfy God when performing his duty, is principled in his words and actions, and can enter into the reality of all the aspects of truth, then he will be a person perfected by God. It can be said that the work and the words of God are completely effective for this person, that God’s words become his life, he obtains truth, and he can live according to God’s words. After this the nature of his flesh, that is, the foundation of his original existence, will shake and collapse. After one has the words of God as his life he becomes a new person. The words of God become his life; the vision of God’s work, His requirements of man, His revelation of man, and the standards for a true life that God requires man to achieve become his life—he lives according to these words and these truths, and this person becomes perfected by the words of God. He experiences rebirth and becomes a new man through His words” (“How to Take the Path of Peter” in Records of Christ’s Talks).
From Almighty God’s word we can see that God’s work in the last days is the work of the word. God uses the word to judge, purify, and perfect man. If we want to gain the way of everlasting life, we must accept and obey the last days’ judgment and chastisement before Christ’s seat. Eating and drinking the word of God, and accepting the judgment and chastisement of God’s word, thereby understanding the truth, coming to know God’s righteous disposition, and finding true fear of God in our hearts, and then experiencing God’s word to understand the truth and live the reality of God’s word is the only way to receive the way of everlasting life. Now we all know that only the word expressed by Almighty God in the last days can purify, save, and perfect man. If we want to gain the way of everlasting life, we need to eat and drink the words of Almighty God, and experience the words of Almighty God, because the satanic corruption in us is too deep. We live in sin, scrambling blindly to secure our own futures and fates. We don’t know the difference between good and evil, and don’t know the substance of our nature and the truth about our corruption. We don’t understand God’s desire, and have no knowledge of God, nor do we understand what God likes and dislikes. nor can we see through to Satan’s evil substance. We live by our satanic natures, we seek fame and fortune, we engage in intrigue, we admire power and evil, we confuse black and white, we indulge our greed and desires, etc. We live out demonic images of Satan, without any likeness of real humans. Only God is the truth, the way, and the life. The truths expressed by God are the revelation of God’s disposition and all that He has and is. To man, the truth is judgment, chastisement, examination, and purification. Before God’s words, we can feel the arrival of God’s righteous disposition. Just like when we see the appearance of God, our hearts feel fear of God. We feel that we are low, dirty, and small. We see the truth of our corruption by Satan, and how far we are from meeting God’s requirements. And when, through practice, we come to understand more truth, we feel shame and admonishment for actions not after God’s heart. The truth serves as an examination, and in the actions we take and the paths we walk, the truth serves as a guide, becoming the principle by which we speak and act. When this happens, the truth becomes our life. We can see that the truth can change people. It changes their disposition, and perfects them. The truth has profound value and significance for man’s existence. So, if we accept the truth as life that is expressed by Almighty God in the last days, we can achieve change in our life disposition, and become those who have the truth and humanity. As such, we are those who have been perfected by God and who have gained the truth, are those who have escaped the dark influence of Satan and been gained by God, and are those who obey God, love God, follow God’s will, and are compatible with God. And we are the people who gain the way of everlasting life.
